"Teams/Publics"...singular or plural??

Hey guys,

So i know on their own "team" and "public" is singular, but how about when its used for example like this: "The team's opinion...."

Does it remain singular?

Yes the subject is still singular.
For example: The team's opinion is not relevant. (Team- singular)
For example: The two teams fought each other to win the championship. (Teams -plural)
