GMAT Prep - Exponents

(1/4)ˆm (1/5)ˆ18 = 1/2(10)ˆ35 , then what is m?

a) 17
b) 18
c) 35
d) 36
e) don't recall, but was not the righ answer

OA is C

5ˆ21 * 4ˆ11 = 2*10ˆn = What is the value of n?

I don't recall the answer choices, one of the options was 32, I chose it, but am not sure if it is correct.

I think my basics of exponents are extremely weak and letting me down big time!!!

Can anyone please enlighten??

This question has been discussed many times before.
Search "exponents" and you'll get plenty of threads - it basically gets answered smth like once every 2 weeks.

If you really need someone to help you, please post the correct question.

If (1/5)^m x (1/4)^18= 1/(2(10)^35), then m =
a. 17
b. 18
c. 34
d. 35
e. 36
