stmt 2 - this just gives that A is left to D but dont provide any info of distance from A to D or another info to solve the pblm....So insuff
both - C is b/w A and B....and D is left to A...Here itself there can be two combinations

OR
A C D B
NOTE - When it comes to Qs like these we always need to consider both directions...PLEASE DO NOT SET YOUR MIND IN JUST ONE DIRECTION....
So even both stmts wont suffice.....Hence ans is E
