What about 1. ? Is is sufficient or not?

I donot think (1) is sufficient.

X+Y<0
W+X<0

We can add the two and we get

W+Y+2X<0, which is not close to the inequality in question. Note that
you cannot subtract the two inequalities as subtraction changes the sign.
