Hi,

I know that we can send the GMAT official scores to 5 schools at the time of GMAT itself. Can anyone please let me know how do we search the schools to send the scores? Is it by name/location or by specific codes for schools which we need to remember?

I am also curious about this question. In addition, I have read that you select the 5 schools you want to send your score to before taking the exam. I am wondering if you can wait until after you find out your score at the end of the test and then choose the schools. I guess what would help is if someone could point me in the direction of a post that described the actual test day. For example, what he/she had to fill out, what exactly to bring, etc. Thanks in advance for any help! I take the GMAT in 12 days and would love to be as prepared as possible so I can BEAT THE GMAT!

The b-schools, especially MBA programs have certain code, which you need to submit before you take GMAT on the test day.
If you want to report your GMAT score to more than 5 b-schools, you can submit it later by paying extra $25-30 (sorry dont remember exact amount) per school.

I know it's stupid of GMAC to ask for 5 names before the test as your score is unknown & you play the game blindfolded. It is therefore expected to have some idea of performance level & probably GMAT score. So that you'd apply to 'appropriate' b-schools'.

aim-wsc, thaks for the reply...Can you please tell me do we have to take those programs' code list with us or we can search them on the system provided for GMAT exam using some criterion like name or location?

I was able to look them up according to country. But I'm sure it can't hurt to bring a list of codes, I had my codes with me...

No you don't need a code. In fact, I asked my school for our code and the person I spoke didn't know what it was.

Do not worry at all about this part of the process. If I remember correctly, you can either find your schools by proceeding geographically, or just doing a search. If you can remember the names of the 5 schools (and how to spell them correctly) then you will have no problem.

Remember that you are not allowed to bring any materials with you into the exam area, so bringing a list is not an option.
