Queries regarding GMAT Exam Day

by kiran_sav » Sat Oct 03, 2009 11:08 pm
Hi,

I will be giving my GMAT this week. I had a few queries:

1) what is the duration of the optional break? Is it 8 minutes or 10 minutes?
2) Do we get any time to note down the choices (such as ABCDE) on the scratch pad before our timing for Quant or verbal section starts?
3) Do we need to carry the GMAT code for the business schools to which we are applying?
4) Can we request for two noteboards before we start the quant section. I am sure I would be requirng more than one noteboard for quant section.

Thanks,
Kiran

1. It's 8 minutes. But beware: you will need to have your fingerprint scanned every time you come or go in the room, so discounting the time you lose with this it will be only about 5 mins.

2. No, you do not. The session will start immediately.

3. No, you do not. You have a convenient search function (by country, state, name etc. I believe) at the end for school reports.

4. I do not think you can. However, if you run out of space, you should raise your hand and ask the proctor for a clean one. He will take the one you've just finished writing on, so that at any given time there's only one pad with you in the room.

Thanks a lot for your response.5 min is too less as a break.
