1G/25miles*10miles=10G/25
1G/40miles*50miles= 5G/4
(10G/25+5G/4)/(10m+50m)=1.65G/60m=0,0275G/m--> 36,36m/G=average


I would do this but I don't arrive to an exact answer. I would answer 36.

I think we can attack this ques as below:

Total fuel consumed =(10/25+50/40)= 1.65 gallons
Total distance covered=60km

Therefore, avg=60/1.65=36 (approx)
