[x] the greatest integer

If [x] is the greatest integer less than or equal to x, what is the value of [-1.6] + [3.4] + [2.7]?
a. 3
b. 4
c. 5
d. 6
e. 7

I dont understand how the answer is A

Below is what I did:
[-1.6] = -2
[3.4] = 3
[2.7] = 3

Answer: is 4

Please tell me what I did wrong. Thanks.

Question states LESS THAN or equal to...so...

(-1.6) = -2

(3.4) = 3

(2.7) = 2

So total value (-2 + 3 + 2) = 3

You simply made a small mistake on the value of [2.7].

[2.7] = 2

so

-2 + 3 + 2 = 3
