Hi,

This is how I solved. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Question stem : Is the Quadrilateral ABCD a rectangle - Yes/No?

S1: ABCD could be a Rombus or a Square. two possibilities, Insuff.
S2: ABCD could be a square or a rectangle. two possibilities, insuff
S1+S2: ABCD is a square.One possibility, sufficient.
Final answer: C

Close, but not quite.
S2: if it were the case that quadrilateral ABCD is either a square or a rectangle, then S2 would be sufficient because a square is a type of rectangle.
However, for S2, quadrilateral ABCD could also be an isosceles trapezoid, in which case S2 is NOT sufficient.

WooW! Thanks for the correction Brent!

Though I now realise that Square and Rectangle are both essentially Rectangles - I did not have an Idea that Isosceles trapezoid has diagonals of same length! Thanks for teaching me something new today. Thanks also for the great video :).

With Regards,
Susheel
