find the value

by ramyaravindran » Mon Mar 08, 2010 5:46 am
Can somebody help with this one? I don't have a OA.
Given a series f1, f2, f3.................. with f5 = 39 & f8 = 70. If the terms from f3 is sum of the preceeding two terms, then what is the valueof f9?

we could formulate as following:

39+f6=f7
f6+f7=70

f7+70=f9

where from first two equation we can get f7=109/2, hence f9=109/2+70
