Therefore, four-fifth of the number = (4/5)*n = (4n/5)
Therefore, three-fourth of the number = (3/4)*n = (3n/4)
According to the problem,
- four-fifth of the number = three-fourth of the number + 4
=> (4n/5) = (3n/4) + 4
=> 16n = 15n + 80
=> n = 80
Hence the number is 80.
