here if we take statement 1 alone then it tells about the females among those who who received P, but we can not get the info about the rest of the class. hence insuff.

take 2 alone it tells that of F or I 80 percent are males, here we don't have info about the other group. so insufficient.

take both together: here we don't ave relationship between no of people who received P and no of people who received F or I, so it is not possible for us to calculate the ratio of female to the students in the class.

hence E is the correct answer.
