by pkw209 » Tue Jan 05, 2010 10:09 am
Hi all,

Had a little trouble with this one. Would appreciate a brief explanation. FYI, I took this from Zuleron's list of gmat prep questions. Thanks!

Answer is C.

111) 5 people are seated around a round table. Two seating arrangements are considered different only when the positions of the people are different relative to each other. What is the total number of different possible seating arrangements for the group?

a. 5
b. 10
c. 24
d. 32
e. 120

This is a direct formula application of circular combinations....
Check this link or others for the concept.

Here n=5, no. of combinations = (n-1)! = 4!= 24
