IMO C
Parallel ,correct idiom and correct use of verb

I think e is wrong because it is PHOTOGRAPHS(plural) that indicate not the pathfinder....
so it is just a distractor.
GMAT score is equally counted as your GPA and 78 clicks can change you life.

should be D.
Each demands singular verb. so indicates and not indicate.

It cannot be C.
A,B and C are wrong because the main subject "Each" is singular and it cannot take the plural verb "indicate".It has to be "Indicates"

Between D and E.
D is correct because the idiom is "degree to which".

I missed each on my first reading and may be as question is why e is wrong i overlooked it.

E uses the wrong idioms.

1. extent to flooding is incorrect. extent of flooding is right.

2. degree that rocks were scattered is incorrect. degree to which rocks were scattered is right.

This question is easy if you know that each is always followed by a singular verb unless the word preceding each is plural. In this case the correct verb needs to be indicates. Eliminate A, B, and C. From there, E is clearly incorrect because it is wordy and, as others have said, uses improper idioms. Choice D is correct.
