PS help gmat prep Q attachment added

in the addition table above what is the value of m+n?

sorry i am posting this from another computer than what I did the test on.

They columns and rows are supposed to be all lined up.

This question is simple but just requires a careful look. Here is the solution:-
1) The table is a chart for addition of two numbers e.g. x+4=1, y+4= -5
2) In this question ,we need to know m+n
3) We can rewrite m as z+4 and we can write n as e+y
4) that means m+n = z+4+e+y
5) Also, e+z= 10
6) Additionally ,y+4=-5, i.e y=-9
7) Substitute the value of e+z and y from steps 5 and 6 in step 4
8) Answer is 5
