FIRST THINGS FIRST: WRONG SECTION. IT's a DS.

Is n>24?
1st chair del charges = 10
thereafter 1 for each chair.

If n = 24, Delivery charges = 10 + 1*23 = 33

St1: del charges > 30
It can be both less or more than 33. INSUFF

St2: Avg cost = 1.36
Let total chairs be n.
Total cost = n*1.36
Also total cost = 10 + (n-1)*1
equate both: 10 + n -1 = 1.36*n

IMO B

2)

Let n be the no of chairs ordered

so (10 + (n-1)*1 )/( n ) = 1.36

solve for n and find the answer...

1) Says cost more than 30

10 + x > 30
x > 20
we don't know the exact value of n

clear B.
OA?
The GMAT is indeed adaptable. Whenever I answer RC, it proficiently 'adapts' itself to mark my 'right' answer 'wrong'.
