i mile = 5280 feet; 6 miles = 31680 feet. t=1/2hours = 1800sec
to find if d>31680 feet
a)s>16feet/sec. d=s*t
d>16*1800 feet
d>28800 feet
insufficient

b)s<18feet/sec. d<18*1800 feet
d<32400 feet. insufficient.
both a&b) 32400>d>28800
insufficient

Q is asking to find out whether distance > 31,680 ft

and solving both condition together gives 28,800 < distance < 32,400 ft
so we cannot determine whether distance is actually greater than 31,680 ft
