Data interpretation- GMATPrep

I'd like to know whether there is a quick way of solving Statement (2) of this question. I know that in the end gives z=20q, but it's time consuming to add all the those letters z=w+y, y=x+v, etc...until you get the result.
There should be a shortcut....

r = 2q
s = q + r = 3q
t = q + s = 4q

u = q + r
v = s + u
w = t + v

x = q + u
y = x + v


Actually u dont need to find all the values ..above if we just find the first three values we knonw we can find the rest ...

stmt1 : INSUFF

stmt2:

now this is a IS question i.e z=20q or z <>20q should suffice to answer the Q

so the way I look at it is that we only need to express z interms of q, if that can be done then it is immaterial whether z= 20q or z<>20q, coz both will be SUFF

now here we can see that z=w+y, as we go on expressing the variables using the logic provided in stmt 2, we would ultimately be able to express z in terms of q

That's right, it does't matter whether the answer is YES or NO as long as it is consistent, so that statement (2) is sufficient....That makes the question doable within 2 minutes...
