to prove that rate R <5 mile/hr?

Solution:

1) R < 6.4 k/hr i.e R < 6.4/1.6 mile / hr

R< 4 mile/hr............SUFF


2) R < 1/9 km/min

i.e R< 5/1.2 mile / hr

SUFF

D for me as well
statement 1 rate less than 6.4km/h
then D/T = 16/6.4 => 2.5
so time is more than 2 hours.
sufficient.

statement 2 took min. 9 mins / kilometer => 9 * 16 => 2hours 24 mins. minimum.
hence sufficient.
