I think the best approach to such questions is to draw a number line

AC = 5, BC = 20
C between A and B?

(1)
AB=25

on the Number line:
A.....5....C.....................20........B
Only in such case you will get AB = 25, so c between A and B
SUFF


(2)
A to the left of B

can be
C....5......A...........15.......B

or

A.....5....C.....................20........B
INSUFF
