I've seen this problem before, consider this:

If v does equal 0, then:
vw=v^2, divide by v
v=w, and the stem specifically says that v and w are different integers.


thus A is the correct answer.

I think it should be

If v does NOT equal 0, then:
vw=v^2, divide by v
v=w, and the stem specifically says that v and w are different integers.
