(1) From just the hcf we dont know anything about x or y and hence xy

All it says is the gcf between the 2 numbers is 10 (2*5)

It could be 10 and 100 (or) 30 and 100

INSUFF

(2) On a smilar note from just the lcm we dont exactly what x and y is

INSUFF

Combined from 1 and 2 we can find the product

I think it goes like this

Product of lcm and hcf of 2 numbers is product of the 2 numbers

Eg: Consider 2 and 4

hcf =2
lcm = 4

hcf*lcm = 8 which is equal to the product of the 2 numbers

Hence C
