If m is an integer , is m odd?

1) m/2 is not an even integer
2) m-3 is an even integer

I'm getting something different answer when i try 1) statement. Can someone give detailed explanation for statement 1)?

Hi!

IMO B

(1)
if m/2 is not an even integer, then m/2 is an odd integer or it is not an integer.
For example:
m = 6, m/2 = 3
m = 5, m/2 = 2.5
Statement (1) ALONE is INSUFFICIENT
We should eliminate answers A and D.

(2)
if m - 3 is an even integer, then m is an odd integer.
For example:
m - 3 = 4
m = 7
Statement (2) ALONE is SUFFICIENT.
We should eliminate answers C and E.

Therefore, answer is B.
