we must take 2 numbers out of 6, therefore 6C2.

6C2= 15


alternatively,
combinations with 1= 12,13,14,15,16
combinations with 2= 23,24,25,26
combinations with 3= 34,35,26
combinations with 4= 45,46
combinations with 5= 56
