Several financial officers of the company spoke on condition that they not be named in the press reports.

A. that they not be named
B. that their names will not be used
C. that their names are not used
D. of not having their names
E. of not naming them

OA is A. Can someone explain why B is wrong?

A. that they not be named : Subjunctive: Most appropriate
B. that their names will not be used: If you want to make this right, use WOULD (Tense difference)
C. that their names are not used : Explantion same as B
D. of not having their names: Bah!!!!Do you need explanation for this too?
E. of not naming them: It gives that financial officer were allowed to name them in the report...
