Is this normal variation

I just started studying for GMAT, having only 15 days before i give the test.

i bought the OG 12the edition, verbal.
I scored roughly 89% answers correct

i took the first 3 exams Manhattan tests online.
I scored only around 63% on the verbal section.


can such disparity be ok. i read that OG questions are easy, but are Mantattan questions extra tough. How can scores fluctuate from 89% to 63%.

what would be more accurate reflection of actual GMAT questions that I would face. I dont have much time to study, so I am concerned.

If you guys can help, specially those who are familiar with the above matter, I would really appreciate it.

Fact is, all non-official material is slightly off. As long as you do good in the OG, then you should not have major problems. However, I would not completely dismiss the MGMAT results, because the OG contains mainly easy and medium questions. Plus, remember that your score is calculated on other stuff apart from the hit rate: how many you get wrong in a row, where you get them wrong, if you finish in time... My guess is your score is somewhere in between.

I would recommend doing the first GMATPrep test and seeing where you are. I do not believe in hit rates because it totally ignores the difficulty level, scoring algorithm and selection algorithm. I think that would give the best indication of where you stand. As far as the hit rate is concerned you will be in the middle as far the real GMAT is concerned but, hit rate would be last of my worries now.
Always borrow money from a pessimist, he doesn't expect to be paid back.
