I wouldn't say that a 2-point drop in Verbal or Quant is very significant. On any given day, your scores can fluctuate this much.

Sorry Brent, I wasn't very clear. I lost 2 points in both Q and R, but my total went UP?

Shane -

I would not worry about it too much. You should not look to unofficial practice tests to predict your score. Like any unofficial tests, our Veritas tests do differ from what you might get on the GMATPrep Official Practice test.

I can see why you would be a little confused as to those results. I find that a little puzzling as well. I would think that lower scaled scores would give a lower overall score. Certainly they would on the actual test!

Have you taken the GMATPrep test? What are your results there?

My last GMATPrep was a 690.. believe it was a 45Q/39V actually.

If nothing else, I suppose we could say the scoring algorithm is getting better? Lol.. still a bit odd, though. I double checked the raw scores before I posted, but I'll do so again in the morning. Perhaps something Vertias may want to look into.

Wow so 680 and 690 scores were pretty close to your GMATPrep scores.

Thanks for letting us know about this interesting result. We are developing new practice tests even now and I am sure that this will not be a problem with the new algorithm.

Thanks!

I triple-checked. Those raw scores are correct. Are you telling me that I scored a 720 on my first practice exam, and Veritas told me 680?! Haha :)
