extracting equations out of word problems

Often times, I will be going through a word problem and then realize that the whole question hinges on extracting th equation out of the word problem. Personally, I believe that this is slightly different obstacle than simple math translations. Does anyone know where to go to learn more about getting GOOD at this topic. THis will surely erase a big obstacle in my studies.

The best way is to practice....

It would be better is you pick up your high school math book and re-read it. There is one MGMAT book on word problems, that might help as well...

The best way to get better at doing word problems is to keep practicing them. However, I suggest going to the library and loaning a couple of books on beginners and intermediate algebra. You will find a lot of help there. Other than that, just practice practice and practice.
