Right method to begin to study the Gmat ?

by mimichaou » Tue Nov 08, 2011 8:01 pm
Hi everyone !
This is my first topic.
Ive just started to study the Gmat test. As everyone who begin to study the Gmat, I dont really know where to begin. So I downloaded the Gmat prep software on the website mba.com. I am beginning the math review (arithmetic, algebra, geometry, word problems), and once I will be done with it I will take my first mock Gmat test.
I decided to go through the program software in the order presented in the main menu, thats why I havent taken my mock test yet. Is it a good way to begin or it would be better to begin directly by a mock Gmat test ?
My goal is to achieve a 700. Can you please give me any tips to begin my preparation ? I plan a 3months preparation. And I already bought books.
Also, english is not my mother tongue as I am French, so do you think I am at a big disadvantage ?

Thank you for your help !
Best regards.
