GMATprep1 730, 730, 750 and 760

by nandansingh » Mon Oct 27, 2008 1:01 pm
Guys
My GMAT coming up on 7th Nov....i.e. 9 days from now.
My prepararations have been on since last 1.5 months. My GMAT prep-1 scores are:
17 Oct 730 (Q49 V40) (10 Mistakes, 10 Mistakes)
23 Oct 730 (Q50 V40) (8 Mistakes, 10 Mistakes)
25 Oct 750 (Q51 V40) (4 Mistakes, 8 Mistakes)
27 Oct 760 (Q51 V41) (5 Mistakes, 10 Mistakes).

I am not happy with improvement...because some questions in both sections were repeated. Out of some of the repeated questions, I made mistakes also.

I am planning to take GMATprep2 tomorrow.

I have not done anything in AWA till now.
Please suggest friends.

What is your question? I'd be happy to try to help if you elaborate.

Also, I'd do the AWA with GMAT Prep 2... just so you have a truer simulation of the test-taking experience.

I'm taking these tests for prep and also to gauge my score.
Yes, I'm planning to take only GMATprep1 and GMATprep2.
For Other tests, I don't have resources.

The fact that my scores have risen only by 10-30 marks from 730 to 760 in repeat tests is concerning me.
Does that indicate any ralistic score?

You have taken this exam 4 times in 11 days. What else have you studied during this time that would improve your score? Also, 730 is a pretty high starting point. There's not much room to go up from there.

GMAT Prep 2 will probably give you a better idea of where you are now than the retakes of GMAT Prep 1. The retakes of GMAT Prep 1 were probably good practice for you though.

I don't really like to give ranges, but if I had to guess based on your GMAT Prep 1 exam, I'd say 730 +/- 30 points.

Congratulations on reaching the point that you are at right now, and good luck on the actual exam!
