GMAT Hacks Vs. GMAT FIX

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can provide some feedback on the GMAT Hacks Official Guide to the Official Guide and the GMAT Fix official Guide Companion.

I am interested in purchasing one of these books but unsure which one to go with. Any input would be great.

I have the GMAT Hacks one and have been using it for a while. Really helpful, happy I bought it. Much better than the explanations in the OG.

Haven't heard of GMAT fix.

GMATFIX provides:

1) Official explanations for OG 11th edition QUANT-> $29.99
2) GMAT PREP QUANT SOLUTION SET-> $49.99
3) VERBAL GMAT FLASH CARDS.



GMAT HACKS

If u r looking for a quant tutorial covering
most /all of the topics then get the gmat hacks math bible-> $49.99

Suit yourself with any of the above...

I'd go for GMAT HACK.

though I haven't checked both study materials, I liked GMAT-HACKS tips n strategies he shared on his blog....

GMATFix.com materials are very good. The OG Companion is 600 pages and provides very thorough explanations, a deep reference questions that organizes each question by difficulty (200-400, 400-500, 500-600...), topic and subtopic (Geometry -> Triangles).

First, I assume you guys mean to compare GMAT Hacks to GMATFix OG Companion right? Because GMATFix has other products and GMAT Hacks has also.

My understanding is that GMAT Hacks gives a lot of practice problems with explanations. I don't think the two (GMAT Hacks & GMATFix OG Companion) can really be compared. The OG Companion specializes in showing how gmat solving strategies can be used on actual GMAT questions. Other books instead show hohw gmat strategies can be used on 3rd party questions.

To help you make up your mind, go to GMATFix website www.gmatfix.com and download a sample of the book.

GmatGreen, GMAT Hacks puts out "The Official Guide to the Official Guide" that gives solutions and techniques for each OG 11 questions-so yes, these two books are indeed comparable.

Ketkoag, I don’t know about GMAT hacks. Regarding GMAT Fix’s OG companion, it does not have any verbal section. The OG companion is meant for increasing your quant score by giving you simple, understandable, and many ways of solving the OG’s (11th ed, orange one) quant questions. You can check this site for the sample: https://www.gmatfix.com/ Just click the “is this for me” button.

I have seen from GMAT fix’s website that Patrick Siewe (the author of OG companion) plans to release the OG Companion for the 12th edition of OG this June. You may want to wait for that one. However, it maybe just for quant only.

Nope. I didn’t register. Unfortunately, the free live classes are only available to GMAT Fix’s current clients. However, if you do wish to enroll, you can contact Patrick Siewe (the one organizing the classes) in his email: [email protected]

The reason why the number of enrollees is restricted to GMAT Fix’s current clients is that Patrick suspects that many people will enroll. As mentioned, I didn’t enroll. Maybe, you can register and pick up my spot. However, you should email him soon if you’re interested because slots fill up quickly.

For snipertrader:
The impact of OG 12 is that GMAT Fix and GMAT hacks are already into the race of making the latest “guide” of the official guide. I don’t know when is the release date for GMAT Hacks. For GMAT Fix, Patrick is planning to release the OG Companion for the 12th ed this June.
