Hey there,

Before I can respond, I need a little more information mostly around your professional experiences.

You've had 5 years of experience but what have you actually DONE? That's the key to determining a profile - not just a title + # of years.

Look forward to learning more!

Thanks for the additional information!

The short answer is - go for it! You have an average undergrad GPA at a tier II university. But there are parts of your application that I think really stand out. For one, your GMAT is great (even in India, it's high!). Additionally, you have some unique hobbies and involvements. Being the head of your student body and a certified paraglider is an interesting combination. Not to mention, each of your activities say specific things about your personality that I like. Professionally, I like your trajectory and diversity of work experience. You can put together a compelling story around why you need this degree. Effectively, you've had broad based exposure to the various functions within your firm and industry which sets you up for a well rounded background on which to build upon (I couldn't help the construction pun, sorry :)).

There isn't anything in your profile that concerns me or makes me think you'll need to compensate for. However, given your unique background and the fact that you already have your masters, it will absolutely come down to your story. I don't mean you need to "write great essays" (that's just cliched advice - everyone needs to write great essays), I mean you need to convince the adcoms why the program and school are the right next steps for you to get where you want to go. You have a lot of potential but a poor story could put it all at risk.

Does that make sense?

Hi Samren,

While we certainly see that your candidature for ISB is really strong ( IIT brand, 750 and L&T Experience), IIM exec programs might be a bit difficult.

IIM's have an average work exp of close to 10 years. If i exclude 2 yrs of Mtech, your current exp is 5 years. IIMA is specifically very competitive.

So, given close to 60 seats on IIM exec programs you can look at IIMC and IIMB but certainly dont rely on them.
