Progress!!!!!!

by transfer9858 » Thu Mar 22, 2012 1:10 pm
There is nothing like the feeling of progress! I started at a 530, 28 quant mgmat practice test at the beginning of my study. Two weeks ago, I took the quant untimed and got a 640, 43 quant 35 verbal. I just took another mgmat practice, I gave myself 15 extra minutes on quant- I know im going to get ripped/ that its not a true indication of my score but with the difficulty of it, I'm just happy. And most of all, it shows content wise im at 47!!!. Came out to a total of 670, with another 35 verbal. Aiming for 700 in a few weeks!

Good stuff! I've never known that feeling much until recently though... started out around 700 and continued to stay there even after much prep.
One point though : I hope you do realize that you must never get comfortable with the extra time you experimented with...while its great that you now know how you could score if you had a little extra time, its best to readjust to the real CAT conditions as your test date approaches.

Good luck hitting the 700s! :)

Thanks and ya I'm going to decrease the mgmat by 5 minutes each test. There tests are so time consuming so i dont think 10 extra minutes, your talking an extra 16 seconds around for each question is going to be the reason my score jumps that much higher... But none the less I will decrease timing.
