Points allocation

The participants in a race consisted of 3 teams with 3 runners on each team. A team was awarded 6-n pionts if one of its runners finished the race and if there were no ties. Was each team awarded at least 1 point?

1) No team was awarded more than 6 points
2) No pair of teammates finished in consecutive places among the top five places.

I know stmt 1 is sufficient, but I'm not sure how to translate stmt 2. Can someone help me?

Statement (2) means that team N didn't go 1-2,2-3,3-4, or 4-5.

Therefore 1 and 2 must be different teams, and 2 and 3 different, but 1 and 3 could be the same. This is not sufficient because you could have either of these orders (or lots of others):

place team team
1 1 1
2 2 2
3 1 3
4 2 1
5 1 2

the first team 3 has 0 points; the second each team as at least 1 point.
