I have been preparing for the GMAT since last October, studied hard for my first attempt last jan yet depended heavily on og only so I landed a 580 score ( verbal 32 and quanti 37) despite scoring consistently on the practice tests around 640 (verbal around 32 and quanti around 41)
After the first attempt I studied for 45 days more where I focused on sc from manhattan and applied Ron approach of solving per chapter examples before moving on, also did the og verbal book, also studied the cr bible and did most of the 100 cr GMAT probs and practiced 15 passages for rc. Also I did 4 manhattan cats scoring 650-670. (48 q and 32 to 36 on verbal). I had my GMAT today and was shocked to get 600. I improved on quanti reaching 48 yet verbal decreased to 25 points despite my harder study. One reason that I got many idioms around 5 questions in the sc section while I got none in my first exam. Also I have read that they are not important so I didn't study them, yet that screwed my score!!!!!
In practice my verbal accuracy is around 80 percent on cr ( which never gets higher despite lots of practice and strategy studying) and on sc I get around 40 percent wrong and in rc I get from 40 to 50 percent wrong depending on the passage difficulty.
I am studying toward a 680 score so experts may u please help
