When should I take it?

I plan to go the business school after 5-6 years of work experience. So should I take the GMAT my senior year of college or wait right before I apply? or both? Would schools look at both grades?

Hi Best,
GMAT scores are valid for 5 years. IMHO - If you know you want to go back and get your MBA, I would take the test (if possible) your senior year. Get it out of the way - because once you start working, you might not have ample time to study/prepare.

Also, AdCom will only look at your top score. So if you take the test twice, they will consider only your best score.

Thanks for the advice VP. I was thinking the same thing. I plan to take it the summer after my senior year. If I don't do well, I can always retake it right before I apply.

I'm going to be a college junior in the fall so I only have 2 years left. Would it be a waste to start studying now (like every weekend) or will I just forget everything?

I admire your dedication! I would actually wait until closer to the test date. I believe most people study 2-4 months before their test.
