Hi,

After a week old in the GMAT preparation I decided to take the Gmatprep 1 test and scored mere
540(Q48 V18).It was pretty evident from my socre that I need to focus on the Verbal part (and it makes sense also as i non native :D)So from the last 7-8 days I was devoting 95% of my study time on two verbal topics CR and SC.

Finally Sunday arrived and in order to check my progress, I decided to take free economist online test today and scored...670 (Q50 V33) 130 points jump in just 8 days!! Indeed I was happy with my score :) but at the same time I have this question in the back of my mind that how accurate this score is when compared to GMATPREP or actual GMAT?

Will really appreciate your valuable inputs guys.

PLease feel free to share your views.

Thanks!

Take any score with a grain of salt. It is just one data point that says your exam day score is likely to be within a range of 30 points above or below your score if you are taking the GMAT Prep exams. This range is more like 50 points for other 3rd party exams.

I guess the point is be happy with your improvement, but don't rest on it. Focus on learning what you did right and wrong.
