Manhattan Appendix for Official Guides

by gmat1981 » Thu Jan 30, 2014 4:18 pm
I'm studying Manhattan 9 Strategy guides and after each book, I've planned not to do questions which we're suppose to solve from Official Guides during Manhattan strategy guides study.

After I'm done with all 9 guides then and only I'll study each and everything from Official Guides 3 books.

Is this OK.

If you are worried about running out of Official Questions you know that you can purchase the GMAT Prep Pack 1 add on from GMAC. It is like the official guides that you mention except that it is on the computer and delivered through the GMAT Prep software. These problems are the most like the actual test in that they are retired official questions and they are delivered on the computer.

I am not an expert on the M-GMAT books so I cannot say if they are as thorough without the Official Guide as a supplement, but if others write in and say that you should do the OG problems with the M-GMAT Guides just know that you can still have 400+ additional quality official practice problems with the Prep Pack 1.

Hi gmat1981,

It sounds like you're asking for someone to confirm that your study plan is "ok"; there is no "one size fits all" when it comes to studying for the GMAT, so you can feel free to do things your way. Whether your plan "works" or not will be proven by your practice CAT scores. If you don't see the results that you're hoping for, then you can adjust your plan, purchase some additional resources and keep studying.

There is a bit of overlap, but most of the questions are new.
