Driving 1.5 times slower, Bill was late for school today. What is the usual time it takes Bill to drive to school? (Assume that each day Bill takes the same route).

A. It took Bill 15 more minutes to drive to school today than usually
B. The distance between home and school is 15 miles

I got confused to figure out what Driving 1.5 times slower means

If you drive 10 mph, what will be your new speed if you drive 1.5 times slower ?

It's understandable that you got confused - that phrase has no meaning. I'm not sure where the question is from, but it's clearly not from the GMAT.

This is GMAT Club Question.
Below you can find their explanation.

S1 tells us that on average Bill drives for 15 minutes less. Since he drove 1.5 times slower, the 15 minutes account for the difference. Therefore, it is possible to find the difference.

S2 does not tell us much; we don't really need to know the distance and by itself it is insufficeint.

The correct answer is A.

Yeah, I understand that they intend to say "Bill takes 1.5 times longer to complete the journey", but "1.5 times slower" is not English.
