I will be giving my exam in a weeks time. This is the second time i am giving Gmat got a 680 earlier.

GMAT Prep- gave a exam last sunday 07/27 and scored 720(Q48, V41)

MGMAT - today after a week 08/03 and got a shocking 610(Q44,V29). I felt i did quant well but RC was really long and different from OG material.

Im getting very tense as i have one week left for exam and a score below 680 will be of not any help.

I cant reason the scores can be so different

Hi rkumar.

I am NOT an expert. Based on my exp. with MGMAT tests, these exams test you on a material that is significantly different from the real-gmat qstns. Many ppl on the forum may disagree with me with the above statement.....however that is just my personal experience. I have consistently scored 90%tile and above in manhattan tests, yet I tanked the real GMAT.
The GPREP exams from mba.com are the real indicators (though these tests are slightly easier than real GMAT).
Yet MGMAT tests are fantastic materials to practice with.

All the best.....

Math is definitely harder on MGMAT

I have taken one GMAT prep CAT and 3 MGMAT CATs in the last week. My experience with MGMAT suggests that the quant section is definitely more complicated than on GMAT prep. Some of the quant questions are insane in that they require many steps to solve with no shortcuts. Verbal also I think is slightly harder than GMAT prep.
