Knewton practice GMATS + GMAT Prep 2005

Hi-

Can people, instructors, experienced GMATT-ers please share some constructive feedback on Knewton practice tests? I am considering purchasing the course so I have new practice tests to do for my GMAT retake in 30 days. I scored 700 (math 48/verbal 37) and am looking for additional, relevant and tough questions to practice.

ALSO, I tried installing the GMAT prep 2005 software from the GMAT club web site but when I try to run the .EXE file, nothing happens. Has anyone else encountered the same problem? Any ways around it?

Thanks for the inquiry.

Though I clearly work for Knewton, I truly believe that our GMAT CATs are tremendous. They were designed by the gents who wrote the algorithm for the actual GMAT. Plus the quality of the content is unmatched. Your score on a Knewton CAT will accurately mirror what you would have scored on the actual GMAT that day.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Don't use GMAT Club and all to get this standard software. It may jeopardize your entire system with Virus, who knows. Log on to MBA.com and download the genuine software.

Don't use GMAT Club and all to get this standard software. It may jeopardize your entire system with Virus, who knows. Log on to MBA.com and download the genuine software.
suman, i believe that san2009 is referring to the POWERPREP software, which is no longer available on the official site. However, it still has a decent dose of questions and might be worthwhile for those who have exhausted all other readily available practice material.

san2009, if you are using windows 7, try right-clicking on the exe file/ shortcut and select the "run as admin" option.

I believe that the software is also available on this forum as well. I'll try and hunt down the post.

No, he is not referring to "POWERPREP".

There are two GMATPREP versions: V1.0, released in 2005; and V1.2, the current version.

san2009, before you install the GMAPREP 2005 V1.0, you need to completely uninstall the V1.2 version AND manually delete the GMATPREP directory. Otherwise you may experience some problems to install the 2005.

Hey FC - still not working. did you encounter similar problem? I've deleted everything that had anything to do with GMAT prep 2006. Will appreciate your help!
