I underwent a 4 month Internship during final year of college in tool - related Research and Development at a very large Internet Technology Company in India.
I hold a 4-year work experience in IT with Infosys Technologies Limited ,One of the largest Software companies in India.I have onsite experience of 6 months with Symcor in Toronto while i was with Infosys. My work experience gave me an opportunity to work with clients in various domains ranging from Aerospace(Boeing),Technology(Microsoft) to Banking ( Finacle,Symcor and ,Royal Bank of canada).I have won client appreciation from one of the prominent clients as well as spot awards at my company for Organizing Sports Fests.I recently took the Gmat and scored a 740.
I have also been selected for the Army Service Selection Board while i was still in college from among 300-400 candidates at my college. However owing to certain personal aspirations,I chose to get into the Technology sector.
I am Interested in leveraging my MBA with my prior experience in IT . So Do i need to try for a 760-770 in Gmat or 740 is Good for Fuqua / Stern /INSEAD .

Good sir,
A 760 is not gonna help you anymore than a 740. You have beat the average and by a good 20 points. Now that you have that covered, your application will hang on your goals and stories (and recommendations and interview of course) more than 20 more points on your GMAT. So don't retake!
focus on the greater and more important things.

Hope this helps ya!

A 740 is good enough for any school. No point in retaking the GMAT.

As you probably know, you are from a very competitive pool and while Fuqua/Stern could be in range (depending on the rest of your profile), you might want to add more schools to the list. With an IT profile, your essays will assume even more importance (than usual) as to how you differentiate yourself. Pay extra attention to your goals + the link between them & the school.
