MBA rankings USNEWS

by mist3rh » Sun Sep 19, 2010 10:50 pm
Hi Guys,

Where can I find the print version of the USnews ranking. I have searched through the local bookstores (Australia) and cannot locate any such book/print material that details the rankings.

Also, the more experienced seniors here, could you indicate whether the ranking really does matter?.

I am seeking to get an ROI based on tuition fee alone to see which business school would be a better choice to graduate from (from an international student perspective) to seek the best salary/tuition ratio in:
Finance
MIS
International Business
Supply Chain

All help is appreciated.

Exact rankings aren't as important as the general "tier" of school. The rankings tend to fluxuate from year to year (and from publication to publication) but there is a general group of 10-15 schools that are usually in the top 10-15. These schools will have the highest ROI. These schools will also have very similar tuitions/fees. The below list isn't any particular order, but, I think a good representation of the top ROI (and there are others who have come up a great deal in rankings recently like Darden). As "rankings" get lower, schools may become more regional or less well appreciated internationally.

Stanford
Harvard
Booth
Wharton
Columbia
Kellogg

Sloan (MIT)
Fuqua (Duke)
Stern (NYU)
Tuck (Dartmouth)
UCLA
Haas

Hope this helps!
