placement opportunities for Kellogg/Booth Part Time MBAs?

Friends,
I have over 12 years of Technology Consulting experience - the last being in a Big 4 firm as a Senior Manager. I am interested in either of the part time MBA programs.
I am interested to know (assuming I can clear either of them -- and after 12 years out of school its a tall order) what are the career prospects for a person like me -- do I get a chance to get campus placements being a part time student, (do the strategy consulting firms normally consider my background for some kind of a lateral hire).
any advice is appreciate.

Hi cshamik,

First of all, congratulations! I salute Senior Managers in the world of IT as you make a difference in your own way as a leader!

Before I recommend you anything, I'd like to know the following questions:

1) Why do you want to go for a Part-time MBA program when you qualify (especially as a consultant with 12 yrs of experience) for an executive MBA program?

2) Most of the part time programs and executive programs are generally sponsored by your corporation. What is your situation? Do you have your consulting firm backing you up or are you initiative this career move for personal growth?

3) What do you want to do with an MBA degree? What are your short and long term goals?

From a career placement standpoint, most career centers are usually happy to get to know you in person and understand your needs. It is in the B-schools best interest to see you hired. Additionally, during your school yrs, you get to meet with Leaders and grow your network. I'd recommend that you take advantage of this network and keep in touch with them. I'm sure you realize that personal networking is usually more powerful and chances are that you'll get hired through the people that you meet in b-school and keep in touch with.
