Resume Length

by hung » Sun Mar 08, 2009 4:00 am
Hi,

Quick question, what is the recommended length of the resume that should be submitted with an application?

I have been condensing information into 1 page however, I have since read that some universities allow a 2 page resume. Obviously this could allow to a document richer in detail.

I'd be interested to here thoughts from others.

Regards,

Hung.

Dear Hung,

Great question! Unless you have greater than 10 years experience, one page should be enough room. Remember, resumes are meant to be your highlight reel and not include every task, assigment and responsibility you have had in your job(s). It is important to highlight your accomplishments and contributions in your job(s), not your tasks.

Good luck,
Lisa
