A brief background of myself. I completed my BBA in 2012 and soon after I was selected to be part of this post-graduate finance program offered through NYC for minority students from July 2012 and the program completed in June of 2013. After the program ended up I had a flair attack from my Crohns disease and became severely underweight so I was unemployed until Jan of 2014 as I focused on getting better, I did take a temp opportunity in Oct-Nov and I won an offer in December for a consulting firm and started in Jan 2014. Now my company has been missing its earning targets and yesterday I was laid off due to budget cuts while I was going for promotion in March. Now I'm unemployed again. I was looking into applying for business school in Sept as I have started studying for the GMAT. I left on good terms and will be able to get letter of recommendations from previous managers. Now my question is what do I do now? I have two gaps in my resume. I also have an upcoming interview with a firm, but not too interested in the role.
I'm not entirely sure what to do. If I end up winning an offer should I take it even though I may not be interested in it or should I wait until I find something more aligned with my goals? But that could take awhile, even though I plan on applying to business school come this fall.
