Hi all. I'm Chinese with New Zealand citizenship currently working in the United States under work Visa.
26 year old, 2 years as a Sales-trader in a broker-dealer.
Undergraduate went to a top 30 school in the US, but GPA was merely 2.8. My fault! I majored in Financial Economics. Got into the firm I'm with now right after I graduated. I think my work history is somewhat considered short for a professional looking to get into a MBA program. I did very well during the 2 years and have good recommendations. Recently I just started my own startup, basically a solely owned fund investing in equities using profolio management and trading models that I've developed during my profession. I've always wanted to start my own fund and this is the first step to build a track record. Aside from the GPA weakness, I think one of my strength is that I've always been very focused. My major, my job, and my startup are all geared towards my goal.
Stern is my top choice of school and I know they can be pretty selective. I have sometime to up my GMAT scores before the deadlines. What are my chances if I do a first round application?
