Dividing both sides by m
8m=8^2

Dividing both sides by 8 gives
m=8

@gmatblrind,
The answer should not be 'A'. If you use the following way to solve the expression, you'll defnitely get 'E'
8m^2 = 8^2 m
8m^2 - 64m = 0
8m (m - 8) = 0
Therefore m = 0,8
