Profile Evaluation GMAT 600

Hi,
M gmat score is 600(66 percentile) with 50(94 percentile) in math and 21(23 percentile) in verbal. My AWA score is 3.5. I intend to join for the 2010 batch. By that time i will have 2 yrs work ex. I am associated with a community where we organize social functions. I have done my undergraduate degree from India and i am an engineer. I have participated in many functions in college where i was the head of the team. My GPA is 3.2. I am interested in entrepreneurship course. Please can u help me on this. Should i take my GMAT again? Can i get admission with this score in to MBA school which rank in top 50 in US?

Dear mohit108,

I think you should take your GMAT again. While your quantitative score is quite strong, your verbal score and AWA are quite low. I do not think many US MBA programs will be comfortable with those scores since the programs will be instructed in English. To be a competitive applicant for a top 50 US program, you will need to increase your overall GMAT score by at least 50 points.

Hi Lisa,
Thanks for your quick reply. I wanted to know that with this score and profile which school could i get into. Also is the profile mentioned above good enough for the top 50 US MBA schools? I am planning to give my GMAT again. If a get a score of something around 650-580 then will my application will be competitive enough to get into top 50 US MBA schools or so i even need to improve my profile. I am interested in doing the entrepreneurship course.
