I definitely take it before 6/5 to evade the IR section. I don't think I fear it but it's a test and it could take more time for preparation while I plan to apply this year. So impact of IR part in GMAT is not so significant.
If you just start preparing GMAT and have around 600 in hand now, you'd better thinking of spending more time on intensive preparation and taking IR section.
